Following interviews last week, I am pleased to announce that Mrs Steer will be taking on the role. This will be her primary role in school from half term although she will do some teaching assistant activities in addition.
Although this role commences officially from next term Mrs Steer will be in the office most mornings until around 9.30am from this week and she will be the person following up absences. If your child is absent please contact her using her school email address: laura.steer@walcott.lincs.sch.uk. We will also be introducing a general 'enquiries@walcott.lincs.sch.uk' email address that will automatically go to myself (Mr Sewell) and Mrs Steer at the same time.
I am aware that it is a long time since we have had consistency in the office due to ongoing staff absences and know this has been frustrating; it is our aim to ensure that day to day queries can be dealt with face to face in a timely fashion.
The Walcott administrator position is part time. so there will remain times of the day when the phone will still divert to Mrs Mary King's, I will let you know Mrs Steer's normal timetabled office times before next term.
