Children are being sent home fixtures letters for a number of sports events today and there will be further letters next term, this will include children in most year groups at some point. 

This year we have bought into the Carrs School sports outreach events. This gives the school access to a lot of additional tournaments and chances to introduce children to new sports. Mrs Olliver will be helping with a lot of these events in capacity as a governor and Miss Pearson our Sports and Wellbeing apprentice. We will however need some more parental help especially in terms of transport. 

 

Mrs Olliver will be fully risk assessed so can proved some transport on behalf of the school. If other parents can offer to take their own children or make arrangements between themselves it will help to make these events sustainable. We are going to try and give the maximum notice for these events and fixtures will be placed on the website calendar.

 

This project will considerably increase the amount of sport the school is taking part in and is an important part of our Covid recovery and wellbeing plan.
