PE Kits and Cloakroom Space

PE Kits and Class Three Cloakroom

Winter PE kits

Please make sure that children have PE kits for winter sports. Children will be getting muddy doing sports on the field and they need a change of clothes. We want children to be warm and comfortable so black or dark grey jogging bottoms are part of the winter kit. We think its particularly important that Class Four children have kit to prepare them for the often much stricter secondary school expectations. Some children have got very muddy today in their uniform as they didn't have full PE kits.

Coats

We have also found that many children are not bringing coats. On rainy and cold days children still go out to play and must have a coat.

Cloakroom space

Walcott Class Three have a particular problem as their cloakroom space was reduced when we created the Woodland Suite. We are really struggling to keep this area tidy and we don't have any spare space. We are asking that over the next term parents try to reduce the amount of things children have in the cloakroom. It is big bags that are really the problem. We would like to aim for children to just bring:

A coat

A drawstring PE bag, (trainers in a plastic bag inside)

A lunch box (That they place on the shelf)

A book bag for reading book and homework to take into class

Football boots in a small boot bag that can go on the shelf

Water bottles go into the classroom

Please avoid bringing any big rucksacks there isn't room for them and you shouldn't need them. By January there should be no rucksacks in this cloakroom.
