Walcott pupils went to Mrs Mary King's School to join our friend learning about Britain in Roman times
The Roman was really funny and we learnt a lot of great facts.
The Roman showed us how Legionaires lived. He made fire and cooked Roman food.
VE Day May 8th 2025
KS2 children visited Metheringham Air Museum to learn about our local areas contribution to WWII. Mr Scoley showed us how the fields near Martin were turned into a huge air field.
We met air crew family members, they had lots of interesting stories.
We had the chance to explore the Dakota transport plane.
We learnt about the job the aircraft did during the war.
We ended our day of celebrations with Maypole dancing. We had had a very memorable day.
Sunita's Visit
In March Sunita Patel from the 'Indian Experience' visited Walcott. We had great fun learning about Hindu beliefs and cutoms. We particularly enjoyed dressing up in traditional Indian costumes and dancing.
